When all trees have been cut down, when all animals have been hunted, when all waters are polluted, when all air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money. - Cree Prophecy

Zardari!

This Mr. 10% was unstoppable a couple of days back..yes! when he met Sara palin!
oh dear..what a shame!
A country’s head goes all out in full media glare..his tongue hitting his knee, beating that History of world (part I) kallu!
Phew..even if u really fell for a woman, even if u were really wishing u get her. Even if u were just fantasizing, that’s not the way to go about..not with full media attention..
One has to see that video clip to believe a man can grope like that!
I cant resist from thinking he might come with an idea to marry her for world peace
if she wins;-)

But that’s not why I hate him..This Mr.10% was clearly the most corrupt that all previous corrupt guys of pak were put to shame and loss, at one shot. He was proved guilty and was even set aside by his wify, Benazir- who herself does not have any good record.
And he uses her death factor and maneuvers to unsettle Pervez and sidelines Shariff (oh thats 4 crooks in one sentence!) and settles at the top.
Forget the fact that Pak can never get a non-corrupt guy (oh! To come from an Indian that’s a great achievement isn’t?) , but a non-dependable and absolutely non-trustworthy guy up there is a great concern for India.

Btw I forgot the wholistic muslim country that pak is, why don’t they slash a fatwa on this fella for such idiotic public indulgence..how I wish, they cut his..tongue I mean;-)

The best I read till now on US pres polls

quote:
McCain’s team, in an effort to distract, is going to keep doing what they’re doing—diverting voters and the media with a tantalizing combination of personal trivia and small lies. It doesn’t matter if they’re caught in them—in fact, all the better. Because they know there is no way in hell they can win if this election is about the big truth of the Bush years.
McCain’s real running mate is George Bush and the failed policies of the Republican Party. Even if they are dressed up in a skirt, lipstick, and Tina Fey glasses.
unquote.

If you received kindly pass around (to ur HR/CSR dept or more friends) and do the needful. If you haven’t received that mail, do mail me separately, I shall do so. (ananthooAThotmailDOTcom)

Outsourcing, 3rd world and Nuke group!

So you thought the west only outsource some of the IT jobs and all those crazy credit calls jobs to you? The west is known to wash any dirt anywhere to their convenience..it was those ships before now, its ship loads of their household garbage! American & UK garbage get dumped in india…companies like ITC help them handle it..what a shame..
There are other small firms too which collect the containers in the pretext of used/recyclable papers and dump them in farm lands (where else?) in south India.
One good outcome of the many forward mails, in this context, was this issue got a real big exposure..many leading dailies covered this.
Of all those I like this the best! In a brit daily about their own garbage dump!
so what is the nuke doing there in the title?
Now some of the developing countries say India, will think that’s the way to go and so will slowly ‘grow up’! As a proof of their growth, will attempt to ship their garbage to some African country.
By then the west would have formed a group called Garbage G8 countries and that only they can ship their garbage across the globe and keep their countries spik n span. Any other attempting will be ‘embargo’ed or penalized..blah blah..and India wud ‘apply’, ‘apply pressure’, ‘apply oil’ and try to feature as the 9th in the G8 or G88 and will request all of them to pass a bill and the garbage G8 to allow them to export too! export what? toxic wastes and what not!
Get it? A cartel shall be formed for any sham and many will emulate and so the whole dangerous deed itself shall be shadowed.
So here we are, now that we have done and dusted the nuke club, lets go garbage.

Teachers day!

Sep 5th! Teachers day!
Of all those amma days, standing days, sitting days, aaya days mainly created by archies & others, I value this sep 5th!
This reminds us that a teacher, Dr. Radhakrishnan actually made it as a president of our nation and that he insisted his DOB be celebrated as the teachers day.
In effect not only honoring him but the whole teacher fraternity.
The teachers are a very under rated and undervalued currency in our society. I always make it a point to give animated and noisy approvals for teachers. For eg in a bus, I would shout " oh! you are a teacher! hey, he is a teacher. give way, give him seat" just to glorify their status. In the process not only elevating that teacher's self esteem but also to budge in to the people that we need to respect them.
They are very under paid and still if we see so many good and Honorable teachers it only means there is some Dharma that drives this nation. Try giving it a thought- selflessly trying to upbring kids and make them & their future better (than your ownself that is) inspite of rotting in the same place and how many of us would be doing that with a smile and that assurance?
If ever I get a hand to make some mark on the Indian polity, the first move would be to increase the salary of the teachers at one stroke just because a happy and economically contended teacher means lotsa Honorable students, which in turn means a great nation.
Salute your teacher!
Go out and wish some of them and if ever you hear of any of your old teacher struggling, collect from your friends and help the teacher. even better, just pay a visit. They deserve it.
'appy teachers day folks!

It’s a chemical world out there!

Can we think of how much we easily pollute the mother earth and in a very take-it-for-granted manner?
Start with the toothpaste – forget the plastics involved! Number of brushes dumped and that the remains will go on for ages! How much of what we spit are biodegradable? fluoride n bromide and what not in the pastes!
Face wash- that gel which is supposed to remove all those pollutants and layer on your face is a big pollutant.
Toilet – all our harpics and what not- just see the ingredients for the chemicals infested
Bath soap- oh! Whats a soap? if we get soap-free soap in the same market! nothing natural or organic in it.
Shampoo- remember the days we never had shampoos and slowly it surfacing in to our shops (& shopping list) and the small sachets..
Oh! Sachets, apart from the chemicals we wash off and so pump in to our ecology, the sachets- plastic invasion let out at large to be there for the next million years…
Then those of us who shave- cream, after shave (all chemicals and ofcourse damaging the ecology), etc
Dying your hair- more than just chemicals there! And that’s washed off to the soil again so frequently..Lets not even think of the cosmetics (there was a famous fwd mail about the contents of the lipstick, remember. I don’t even want to reproduce it here. Its ominous!)
Even coconut oil has more chemicals than coconut these days:-0
Detergents- heard of some people just diluting detergents and spraying on worms & insects? And they die too…so we know what our detergents are and so we obviously pumped these synthetic small giants too..
Where? Ofcourse to our water table!
Food: to just make them- fertilizer, pesticide then some more chemicals to increase their shelf life..then cook in water filled with chlorine, e-coli, sulphides & what nots..
then the toxic veggies, pulses etc..hmm no end, eh? Just by cooking and then washing the dishes alone how much more we pollute..
Hey tired? We are yet to come to the energy that we need and how we generate and actually waste most of them..
Finally the petro splurge! No end there..travel, transport even a tissue paper to 1000s kms!
Ohmegawd…
is this my pessimism week?

Do we (W & me) do something here to help?
Yes! We try and identify products that are more friendly and has not moved so many kilometers..
So there goes the Washington apples and kiwi out of my taste buds for ever..
Yes there’s more! try and use cycle within 6 kms of my neighborhood, travel only if required and commute by bus (public transport) as much as we can. Take the car only if its justified in the number (of people or load). Even walk a lot..hey, it’s a good exercise! Plus going by bus means, less tension on me driving most part in 1st gear with the traffic as hell these days and also less pollution (I see it plainly less at that height!)
We avoid AC in the car & bedroom to the best, atleast its not the 1st thing we do even in the peak summer.
Try and grow as much as we can- in the small garden or in the terrace or in pots..
No we are not there – composting our poop, alternate energy for basic amenities etc, avoiding lotsa things that is close to abstinence or self denial!
One thing for sure!
Never can we go near the no impact man! But we shall slowly move in that direction..
Meanwhile read lots of his experience here
Its mindboggling.
